vCard QR code FAQ
- vCard vs MeCard — which should I use?
- Default to vCard. It's the international standard, supports more fields (company, title, website, addresses), and every modern phone recognises it. MeCard is shorter (so the QR is smaller) but loses fields — only worth the trade when the printed code has to be tiny.
- Can I update my vCard QR if I change jobs?
- Static vCards bake the contact info into the printed pattern, so a new role means a new QR. If you change jobs often, use a dynamic code that points at a contact page you can update — the printed code stays valid.
- Will the contact save to iPhone AND Android?
- Yes. Both iOS and Android recognise vCard QRs natively and prompt the user with "Add to Contacts". The same QR works for both — no separate codes needed.
