- Which wallets are supported?
- qr-cow generates the standard BIP-21 (Bitcoin), EIP-681 (Ethereum / EVM), and address-only QR formats. They're recognised by every major wallet — MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, Exodus, hardware wallets, and the major exchanges.
- Can I include an amount in the QR?
- Yes. Bitcoin and Ethereum QRs support an amount field — the scanner's wallet pre-fills the send screen with the value, the user just confirms. Saves a chunk of typing on invoice payments.
- Use error correction H — is that important?
- Absolutely. Crypto QRs are the one type where a single misread character can send funds to the wrong address forever. Error correction H means 30% of the modules can be obscured (logo, scratch, smudge) and the code still decodes correctly. Always use H for crypto.
